Stanley Caulkins, a WWII veteran, longtime Loudoun business owner, and kind neighbor and friend to many, was memorialized on Saturday with the unveiling of a sculpture in his honor. Whitbeck attended the unveiling ceremony alongside fellow Loudoun residents and friends of Caulkins to pay respects and remember the great civic leader.
”Whether knocking on his door every election cycle or stopping by his jewelry store, I always enjoyed chatting with Stanley Caulkins,” said Whitbeck.
Caulkins served on the Leesburg Town Council, was the owner of Caulkins Jewelry, and was a founding member of Leesburg Airport Commission, helping to establish the Leesburg Executive Airport. He is remembered as a generous neighbor and valued member of our community.
The sculpture in Caulkins’ honor is located on King Street in downtown Leesburg and serves as a reminder of his dedication to the Loudoun community.
